When you see the setting and know what you want to do with it.

I feel so sorry for those students who miss out on their proms or leaving events this year I was pleased to be asked to photograph a university student who would miss out on his degree ceremony. Not a formal portrait session but in the garden with his family and a BBQ. Although I took lots of images whilst there I knew once I saw the summer house with a porch and a rocking chair and a hanging light what I really wanted. Yes this shot was for me whether the others liked it or not(luckily they did) Inspiration comes in many forms and for this one it reminded me of the battling banjos in that film from many years ago. This is the final image with the handmade red sash inline with his degree and by far one of my favourite images from the year so far.
